How coverage works
We are a referral service, so coverage depends on the independent well contractors who agree to take requests from a given area. When you submit the form, your ZIP code and town tell us which contractor, if any, serves your road. Mountain geography matters here. A contractor may not serve every remote road, and a request from a rural part of Madison County may involve a longer trip than one from Asheville.
If we cannot match your request to a contractor serving your location, we will say so rather than leave you waiting. We cannot promise a response time. If you have no water and need help immediately, you should also contact local contractors directly.
Nearby counties
Requests from Haywood, Transylvania, Yancey, and McDowell counties are welcome. We have not built county pages for them yet, but their storm history is just as relevant. According to the National Hurricane Center, the highest Helene rainfall total in Yancey County was 30.78 inches at Busick, and the South Toe River near Celo broke its record by 8.7 feet. The French Broad River at Blantyre in Transylvania County broke its record by 1.3 feet, and the Catawba River near Pleasant Gardens in McDowell County broke its record by 4.3 feet.
Each county has its own health department, which permits wells and offers testing. The rule that no repair permit is needed for pump or tank replacement is a state rule, so it applies in every North Carolina county.
